Being Emmet’s Mom
I had my son, Emmet in October of 2020
Since then, I have learned a lot about being a parent. The thing that I have learned the most would have to be
patience. When he was a little baby, we spent most of our days snuggling. Now that he is 3, he is a wild boy.
Even things such as going to the store can be a task. I wouldn’t change it for the world though.
Now that he is getting bigger, I am starting to see the world more through his eyes. The times at the store
when he cries or wants to look at things isn’t for any bad reason. It’s because it’s all new to him. He is allowed
to look at the world with joy and wonder.
This summer I want to focus on spending intentional time together. Enjoying things like the park and
the beach without overwhelming anxiety. These three(almost 4) years of being Emmet’s mom have been a
blessing. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for me.
