This barbell is currently loaded with plates. You can typically find barbells in the squat rack. They can be used for many things.

What is a Squat Rack?

The image to the right is a squat rack. Now a squat rack is not just for doing squats. There are many exercises you can do on this piece of equipment. Before we get into exercises, let’s start with how to use this. The arms the barbell sits on are called pins. These can be adjusted to an individual’s height or to the specific exercise. You always want to make sure these are set up evenly. An uneven bar can lead to it falling over, which can lead to injury. Speaking of injury, lets always use the clamps after you load on your weight. This is a safety measure. Never get cocky. When you’re cocky, you get hurt.

How about the Cable Machine!

cable machine has various handles, weights, and heights. These can all be adjusted to your specific exercise/goal. The cable machine allows for added resistance to your exercises. You can also utilize this without any handles. At the top middle of this machine, there is a pull up bar. Always adjust the weights for what you can handle. It is not shameful if you need to move the weight down.

How to use an Adjustable Bench

This is an adjustable bench. This can be used at a low angle, flat, or raised. You can adjust both the seat and the back portions. You do this by both removing the pin and lifting up/down depending on what you require. If you look on the adjustment, you will notice numbers 0-10. This is actually the number of degrees the bench goes. Pretty cool!
