"Healthy" food that doesn't suck

Before we get into discussing food, I want to say this. I don’t believe in food restriction. I don’t believe that food should be demonized. All food is fuel. We are allowed to give into our cravings! Life would be so boring if we were regimented on our intakes every second of every day.

Living a healthier lifestyle doesnt have to be a massive switch in your diet. You can start with slow easy steps. Below are some easy tips that you can easily implement in your daily routine.

  • Adding a fruit or vegetable to a meal you enjoy
  • Making a favorite eat out meal at home
  • Add a protein drink for a snack in your day
  • Enjoy a glass of water before your coffee
  • Keeping things simple and not overcomplicating 

Simple Strawberry Shortcake

  • Betty Crocker angel food cake mix
  • 20 oz can of crushed pineapples
  • Strawberries
  • Canned whipped cream

 

  1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix both angel food cake mix and full 20oz can of pineapple including juice
  3. Add mix into cupcake pan
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until tops begin to brown
  5. Let cool
  6. Enjoy and top with strawberries and whipped cream
